Your Questions about Tilex® Bathroom Cleaner
What is soap scum?
Soap scum is more than just built-up soap residue; it's created when water combines with soap, body oils, hair conditioners, exfoliants, shampoos and dirt to make that film that clings stubbornly to your shower, tub and sink surfaces.
Where will I find soap scum in my bathroom? What does it look like?
There are quite a few different kinds of soap scum, ranging from filmy buildup to ring around the tub. Soap scum takes on a variety of different looks: a slimy gray/ brown ring around the tub; white chalky film on tiles and shower doors; and various other grimy soils in your shower, tub and sink.
What's the difference between Tilex® Mold & Mildew Remover and Tilex® Bathroom Cleaner?
Tilex® Mold & Mildew Remover contains bleach (sodium hypochlorite), which is particularly effective at killing common household mold and mildew. Tilex® Bathroom Cleaner, however, is specially formulated to remove soap scum buildup on bathroom surfaces. Do not mix the products.
Is Tilex® Bathroom Cleaner safe for use on all bathroom surfaces?
Tilex® Bathroom Cleaner is non-abrasive, so unlike harsh cleansers it is safe for use on most bathroom surfaces including glass shower doors, glazed ceramic tile, plastic, chrome, fiberglass, glazed porcelain and synthetic marble. Do not use Tilex® Bathroom Cleaner on natural marble, brass or varnished wood. Use Tilex® Bathroom Cleaner as directed. Use on any other surfaces is not recommended.
Will I get more cleaning power if I mix Tilex® Bathroom Cleaner with other household cleaning products?
